Introduction

Some time ago, a nice gentleman asked us if he could give the 7900GS 512MB a go in his Asus Z84. Always keen to boldly go where no man has gone before we happily agreed to giving him the unique "full money back guarantee" MXM Upgrade offers to the bold epxlorers of uncharted MXM terrirtory. In the end, he took us on upon our offer as, for his own reasons, he decided not to go ahead with the Z84 and RMA it altogether. Below is the unabridged picture guide he send us. As you will note, this is an unfinished job. So if you decided to follow in his footsteps you must be prepared to solve the thermal issue. This will probably boil down to rewiring the fan a bit.
