Preparations:
First, you must check the bios version from your Acer. The version is shown in the bios. It must be P01.B2 or up, if it is not you must update it so the Geforce is recognised.
Bios:

Graphic card swap
The upper cover is not screwed. Open it up on the top side and flip it open.Die obere Abdeckung ist nur gesteckt. Diese wird an der oberen Seite gelöst und nach unten aufgeklappt.

Just like the upper cover, the bottom one isn't srewed down either and can be released on the top and flipped open.

Six srews hold the side covers..

Unscrew all the visible screws. The cover is clicked to the front and is rather hard to release. Bending the cover gently should do the trick.

Remove the RAM cover..

Time to remove the motherboard cover. Again, remove the marked screws/ Ähnlich wie bei der oberen Abdeckung ist auch die untere Abdeckung gesteckt und wird auch von oben nach unten aufgeklappt. You'll have to tilt the panel a bit to wedge it away from the right side.

Time to unscrew the graphic card and take it out.

Remove the bracket from the old card. The double sided tape might stick hard, easist is to use a scredriver and push the studs of the bracket on the topside through.

Take the bracket from the old card and use it on the new one.

Put in the new graphic card and apply thermal paste (the paste is included with your purchase).

Put the heatpipe back in and screw it down.

Close it all up!
Firing it up!
Oddly enough, the monitor remained dark during the first boot. I shut down the machine by keeping the power button pressed for some time. When the computer was restarted again, all was well.
